■ ヤヒロトモヒロ perc
少年時代をカナリア諸島で過ごした異色の打楽器奏者。山下洋輔、向井滋春、板橋文夫、梅津和時等、多くのジャズ界を代表する音楽家との共演の他、伝説のアフロファンクバンド「じゃがたら」や「エスケン＆ホットボンボンズ」のレギュラ－サポ－トを務める。「武満徹メモリアルコンサート」では、coba、渡辺香津美、鈴木大介と共にカーネギーホール等に、2016年「没後20年 武満徹の映画音楽」でオーチャードホールに出演した。
ウーゴ･ファトルーソpfとのDuo「ドス・オリエンタレス」の作品は、2012年、2014年にグラフィティ賞ジャズ部門最優秀賞受賞。同年8月同Duoにて小澤征爾氏総監督のサイトウ・キネン・フェスティバル松本に出演、'12年～'15年に南米ツアー、欧州ツアーを展開、韓国ジャラスムやペナン島ジャズフェスティバルなどにも招かれた。また同Duoは、2016年在外公館長表彰を受賞、2018年大分の平和市民公園能楽堂にて「小野リサ＆ドス・オリエンタレス」公演、2019年ラグビーワールドカップ釜石のファンゾーンに出演した。グラミー賞受賞者Pablo Zieglerとの日本ツアーや、渡辺香津美、coba、沖仁、堀澤麻衣子、三好'3吉'功郎などの公演やツアーに参加する。現在、GAIA CUATRO、Dos Orientales、室内楽団八向山、フロール＆空に油、HISASHI 's Unit、The Unforsaken、Vortex box、こども企画「Music meets Circus」等、多岐にわたり国内外で活動中。
Tomohiro Yahiro (percussion) ヤ ヒロト モヒ ロ（ 八尋 知洋）
Percussionist Tomohiro Yahiro was born in Tokyo.1961.He spent boyhood in Canary Islands, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria where he began to play with local rock bands. Came back to Japan in 1979 and he made his professional debut in 1980. In 80's he was regular member of epoch making rock bands like Jagatara and S-Ken & Hot Bomboms. At the same time he has been active with the most representative artists of Japanese jazz scenes like Yosuke Yamashita, Kazumi Watanabe, Kazutoki Umezu, Shigeharu Mukai, Fumio Itabashi, Shuichi Ponta Murakami etc... He participated to many recording sessions and tours like Masashi Sada, Joe Hisaishi, Lisa Ono etc....
Also as the member of one of most destaceted Brazilian Fusion Band, Spick and Span, he played with brazilian artists like Joyce Moreno, Toninho Horta, Joan Bosco, Leila Pinheiro, Alcione etc.... Since 90's he concentrated to produce tour inviting artist from abroad. In 1998 when Soccer World Cup was held in Japan, he was producer of African Percussion Group Sophie ker Gui and was invited to many ceremonies and events related to World Cup. His passion to latin music guided him to invite outstanding musicians from Argentina and Uruguay like Hugo Fattoruso, Jorge Cumbo, Pedro Aznar, Horacio Burgos, Daniel Maza, Nicola Ibarburu, Gladston Galliza etc.... At present he has been active with Dos Orientales duo unit with Hugo Fattoruso (Pianist from Uruguay) , Florencia Ruiz (Singer song writer from Argentina) and Gaia Cuatro.
Awards:
In 2012, the first album "DOS ORIENTALES" is sixth in the Latin Grammy Award category Latin Jazz version. The same year, the best album award in 'Premios Graffiti' (Uruguay) category Jazz version.
In 2014, the second album "Orienta" is the best album award in 'Premios Graffiti' (Uruguay) category Jazz version.
In 2016, Consul General’s Commendation Awarded to Dos Orientales＜Hugo Fattoruso & Tomohiro Yahiro>.(Uruguay)
In 2019, the third album "Tercer Viaje" (2016) winner of the Graffiti Award and nominated for the Latin Grammy in 2019.
